On Friday 9th August, AFLConnect held a Major Event at Marvel Stadium – Coaching Through the Decades.
Over 300 AFLConnect members and guests witnessed a talented panel consisting of Mark Williams, (Melbourne Football Club Head of Development) Natalie Wood (Essendon Football Club AFLW Head Coach) and Michael Voss (Carlton Football Club AFL Head Coach), hosted by Sarah Jones (Fox Footy).
Mark, Natalie and Michael shared their experiences and knowledge gained from coaching and playing during different periods of the game. The panel highlighted key moments in their own journeys, including the transition from playing to coaching, lessons in developing young talent and insights into their evolving leadership styles. Guests also heard from Josh Mahoney, General Manager of Football Operations at the AFL, with key updates on the AFL season so far and a preview on the upcoming AFLW season.
All attendees enjoyed a delicious three course menu, all whilst creating new connections with like-minded businesses. Thanks to Curatif, guests enjoyed a tasty RTD cocktail during the networking hour, adding a refreshing touch to the event’s conclusion.
A fantastic afternoon would not have been possible without AFLConnect presenting partner, Virgin Australia and supporting partners, Sharp EIT Solutions, Toyota Motor Corporation Australia, and Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We thank you for your ongoing support of AFLConnect.
